Annual AIDS Awareness Event
On Saturday, October 28th, AIDS Project Snohomish County and Snohomish County RESULTS teamed for an event, "Act Locally, Act Globally, for AIDS". The purpose of the event was to educate, raise awareness, inspire action, and raise funds. The vision was to instill a sense of hope, despite the tragedies, along with a call for action.
Thank you to all supporters and attendees! Supporters included Community Transit for printing and advertising, Byte Slaves for website development and hosting, Starbucks for coffee and silent auction, and many other businesses and individuals. Amadanyo provided uplifting entertainment. Speakers presented about their personal experiences of living with AIDS, the tragic toll worldwide by AIDS, or their agency's role in making a difference for the local or global AIDS community.
The AIDS pandemic is not an insurmountable challenge. Each individual can choose action to make a difference. By supporting AIDS Project Snohomish County, you are helping locally. One way that individuals can have a global impact is through Snohomish County RESULTS.
